Why Should You Join the Chamber?
Every one of our over 1,100 members have their own reasons, but here a few of our most popular benefits to carrying a Chamber membership.
1. It's a Sound Investment in your Business - When you join the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce you receive values and services that more than repay your membership investment.
2. Free and Discounted Advertising Rates – Chamber members can announce upcoming events and promotions FREE in Chamber Connections, distributed twice monthly to more than 1100 businesses & their employees. Advertising is also available at a very reasonable cost on the Chamber’s website.
3. Listing in our Business Directories – We make it easy for others to find you, by listing your business name and contact information in both our print and online directories.
4. Member 2 Member Discounts – Chamber businesses can offer discounts and special offers to other members through our Member2Member Discount Program – a great way to introduce your products and services to over 1100 businesses and their employees. In turn, you and your employees can take advantage of offers by other members.
5. Job Postings – Members can post their job openings free of charge on the Chamber’s website. Although previously hosted as a separate careers website, upgrades in early 2011 will make this information available where you find other Chamber resources; www.grandeprairiechamber.com.
6. Special Rates at Chamber Events – Members receive discounted rates to attend most seminars, workshops, and special events hosted by the Chamber. Whether your staff is attending a Lunch ‘n Learn, or you’re taking part in our golf tournament, you receive discounted member rates.
7. Networking Opportunities – We’ll provide the location, you bring your business cards! Chamber Mixers are hosted twice a month by Chamber members and provide a great opportunity to network and help your business grow. And don’t forget our array of other events hosted throughout the year to help connect you with members and potential customers.
8. Free Meeting Space in Grande Prairie – Members get free use of the Chamber Board Room in Centre 2000; including use of a flip chart, flat screen TV, internet connection, smart board, LCD projector, and phone for teleconferencing.
9. Free Meeting Space in Downtown Edmonton – As a Chamber member, you receive a debit-sized card that gives you free use of office space for meetings in downtown Edmonton; including access to phone, internet and other business services, as well as direct shuttle service from the International Airport.
10. Advocating for a Better Community – The Chamber listens to the needs of our members and works with government on all levels to make sure your voice is heard. Our advocacy efforts help to make our community a more attractive place to live, work and do business.
11. Discounting the Cost of Doing Business – Your business may qualify for discounts on fuel, shipping, on-hold messaging, credit card & payroll processing, even accommodations - through the Value Added Programs of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce.
