Growing The North

The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce partners with the City of Grande Prairie; County of Grande Prairie; Community Futures Grande Prairie & Region; Farm Credit Canada; Grande Prairie Regional Innovation Network; Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association; and the Municipal District of Greenview to host the annual Growing the North Conference.

The Growing the North Conference is the largest economic development conference in Northwestern Alberta/Northeastern B.C. and the Peace Region. Since it began in 2010, the Conference has become one of the most important regional events where municipal industry leaders and local entrepreneurs can network while they learn about innovation and economic development opportunities. The goal of the conference is to provide information and encourage discussion on a variety of industries that affect the economy of the Peace Region and Northwestern Alberta/Northeastern B.C. while offering opportunities for networking and communication among attendees.

In addition to ample time for networking, attendees can take in the pre-conference Taste of the Peace event where they can sample local food, purchase products, and meet with local growers, producers and industry representatives from the Peace Country. The Taste of the Peace event is free and also open to the general public.
