I THE GRANDE PRAIRIE & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AWARDS
Chamber Awards was designed to promote and recognize excellence in our business community.The following awards are presented each year.

Dan H. Minchin Award
Established in 1995, this award recognizes local businesses for long term achievement. Nominations are accepted in early January with presentation at the annual Chamber Ball.
This is awarded to a longstanding member business of the community that has established itself as an exemplary business, has becomea conerstone of Grande Prairie, and is a strong supporter of the Chamber. In its tenure, the business has conducted itself responsibly and has kept in mind the best interest of the community. The recipient is a business that people can observe and say, " They do a good job and they're a valuable asset to the community."

Clem Collins Award
Established in 1995, this award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions to the Chamber. Nominations are accepted in early January with presentations at Chamber Ball.
The recognition is awarded to a volunteer within the Chamber who has gone above and beyond to make the Chamber strong. This could be a past board member, or an active volunteer who has participated on Chamber initiatives.

Business Citizen of the Year Award
Established in 1995, this award recognizes an individual for outstanding business accomplishment in the previous year. Nominations accepted in early January with presentation at Chamber Ball.
This award is handed out to a member business owner who has contributed not only to the business community of Grande Prairie, but also contributed something in the way of community efforts or volunteer contributions. In Short, it's awarded to a member individual who has gone above and beyond to put Grande Prairie on the map and make it an attractive place to establish a business.

Small Business of the Year Award
This award has been presented annually during Small Business Week in conjunction with the B.D.C. and is awarded for business excellence during the previous year. In 1998 there was a split for Small Business of the Year Award into 2 categories. These categories were over 10 employees and under 10 employees. Nominations are accepted in early September.
